Perhaps one of the most beautiful lakes in Armenia, Tsakkar Lake, is located in Syunik Marz. He is also called Tsaghkar, Sagkar, Sakhkar, etc. Tsakkar lake is located in the Zangezur mountain range and has a surface area of 3 ha. It is located at an altitude of about 3300 m and is considered one of the high altitude lakes of RA. To reach the lake, you should plan about 2 days, because the trips to Tsakkari lake are overnight due to its distance from Yerevan. The waters are clear, fresh and cold.
